The Kansas City Chiefs won a close match on Sunday afternoon, beating the Green Bay Packers with contributions from all three stages.

Below are 10 quick notes from the game.

1. Coach Reid matched Curly Lambeau, becoming the fifth-most win in NFL history.

Reid scored his 226th regular season victory in his career on Sunday, on par with the legendary Packers coach Curly Lambeau, and ironically, ranked fifth in league history. Only Don Shura (328), George Harras (318), Bill Belichick (284) and Tom Landry (250) have achieved more victories in their careers.

In short, Reid is one of the greatest coaches of all time.

2. The victory marked the 500th victory in the history of the team.

The Chiefs became the second original AFL team to win 500 regular-season victories in Sunday's regular season, second only to the Patriots. In addition, Kansas City became the third team to start the game in 1960 or later and achieve 500 victories, second only to New England and Dallas.

3. Defense may be their best performance this season.

Kansas City kept the Packers without a point at the end of the fourth quarter and kept the Green Bay 2 of 12 shots in the third quarter. The Packers were forced to abandon the kick, tip it over or give a giveaway in six of their nine rounds, which marked the dominant defensive performance throughout the game.

4. Especially the passing impact is huge.

The Chiefs put some serious pressure on the Packers quarterback Jordan Love and achieved considerable success. In fact, 49% of Kansas City's turnovers put pressure on Love, who has been harassing the second-year player throughout the game.

Defensive winger Chris Jones leads all players with seven pressures, while defensive end Melvin Ingram, who joined the Chiefs through a trade last week, recorded four pressures in 21 passing sprints. Defensive end Frank Clark was also very active, with the quarterback hitting a three-pointer.

5. L'Jarius Sneed completed his first interception of the season.

Snyder performed well in reports deep on the sideline, completing his first interception of the season. According to Pro Football Focus, this helped Sneed achieve the highest overall score among all Chiefs' defenders on Sunday.

Speaking of defensive guards, Tyrann Mathieu also participated in his first firing of the season midway through the third quarter.

6. Tommy Townsend may have played the best game of his career.

Kicking is usually not the most exciting part of a football game, but when flipping the field position, a good player can be a weapon, and this is exactly what Townsend did in Sunday's game.

The second-year player conceded five goals within the 20-yard line, becoming the first player in the NFL this season to do this in a single game. Thanks to Townsend’s efforts, Green Bay has been facing long-range offenses on the offensive end because the Packers’ average starting position (except when they took over the offense early in the game) is on their own 19-yard line.

Batek continued his impressive season on Sunday, scoring a 24-yard field goal early in the game and then converted a 55-yard goal at the end of the first half. The latter's kick marked the third successful goal of Bartek this season for more than 50 yards.

The joint efforts of Butker and Townsend also achieved rare results, as the Chiefs became the first team since 2018 to record 5 punts within a 20-yard line and score at least 50 yards.

8. As a whole, it was a wonderful game for the special team.

The success of the special team is not limited to Bartek and Townsend. Kansas City recovered a dull punt early in the game and prevented a field goal, keeping the Packers in trouble throughout the game.

Especially this block, marking the first time the Chiefs have been blocked since the 8th week of last season.

9. Travis Kelce is at the top of the franchise history list.

Kelce caught the ball five times at 68 yards, including a 22-yard tackle, igniting the Chiefs' game block. This also helped him rise in the historical record, as Kells surpassed the Holmes priest to become the third-most melee yardage in team history (8,515).

Only Tony Gonzalez (10,954) and Jamal Charles (9,717) score higher.

10. Patrick Mahomes survived when it was most important.

Sunday's offense sometimes struggled, but Mahomes and his companions eventually survived.

The Chiefs maintained a 6-point lead in the midfield and faced a three-pointer with two minutes left in the game. However, coach Reid did not adopt a conservative play style and instead handed the game to his quarterback. Mahomes then climbed to his right and fired a dart at wide receiver Terik Hill, who held it at the reception and secured the victory.

This performance shows that although the Chiefs worked hard to promote football on Sunday, they still have the ability to make the impossible seem ordinary. In fact, this marked Hill's third or fourth finish in the final three minutes of the regular season since the beginning of last season, finishing seventh in the league, the highest in the league. All seven grabs moved the chain, and in some cases-as we saw on Sunday-they left the game in trouble.

This game should also greatly help the confidence of this team. Coach Reid maintained his confidence in passing during the game, and Mahomes did not let him down.
